The fruit, previously pitted and sliced lengthwise into two parts, is introduced into the machine by a feed belt and then deposited on a perforated drum. A belt progressively reduces the passage section of the fruit, causing a slight pressure on the product. This allows the soft dough to pass through the holes in the drum. Conversely, the peel does not pass through the holes and therefore remains outside the drum. Through the rotation of the latter, the skin is then expelled towards the exit. The pulp, on the other hand, is conveyed to another outlet, to allow for subsequent processing. By adjusting the pressure rollers, it is possible to obtain a higher yield and an unprecedented quality.
Production capacity depends on the capacity and hole size of the perforated drum.
Yield is also influenced by the following: type of product and degree of previous treatment; hole size; delivery temperature; selected pressure; power supply; etc.
